Biography
I'm a staff writer at a San Antonio newspaper.
Previously, I've been on staff at newspapers in Florida and Maryland. I've written about corporate takeovers, bankruptcies, billionaires, city councils, murders, neighborhoods, art, fashion, hipsters and some music. My work has also appeared in publications in Baltimore, Washington D.C. and Austin.
I was born in 1974. My mother is from Thailand and my father is Irish American by way of Hollywood, Calif. I grew up in a Buddhist/ Christian house hold. I have two brothers.
Interests
This blog is meant to be a street-level view of San Antone. I am interested in the world, especially my little neck of the woods in San Antonio. To me San Antone is one of the most interesting cities in the world. I grew up bilingual, bi-cultural in SA's suburbs. I attended an inner-city high school. I hope to catch the flavor of this 21st century city.
