China's day without cars

Imagine a day with no cars, no loud traffic and no exhaust fumes to choke on. For some people, that sounds like heaven. For people who "love" their rides, it's a nghtmare. But give it to China. They plan to ban cars from streets in 108 cities in its first ``No Car Day'' on Saturday, part of an effort to promote environmental protection and ease congestion in the world's second-largest auto market. SA's Big Burning Pile of S**%!

Those who live in SA know that the infamous Helotes mulch fire has been burning for weeks. Apparently, no one can put it out. Helotes is a suburb of SA. The mulch fire, or compost fire as some call it, has become so infamous, someone created a Myspace page for it. If local, state and federal government can’t keep a giant pile of compost from burning unchecked, what hope is there to stop global warming? The mulch fire has become a Godzilla-like monster, kind of like Mothra, or Hedorah, the Smog Monster .

While it’s not a disaster causing health risks on the scale that Linfen, China, is facing, it is still scary.
